Introduction:
The goal of the creators of the Mira Prism is to enable people with smartphones to go from experiencing augmented reality through the window of a 5'' phone screen to experiencing a premium, hands free, immersive and holographic environment with the help of their device. Since they didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on prototyping and at the same time, build a product that is quite affordable by common people they came out with a 99$ product that uses the user's smartphone to play holographic video that gets projected onto huge concave lenses that reflect a virtual three dimensional figure in front of the wearer's eyes. Pretty cool for what you can get at that price. Below, I have mentioned the major pros of the Prism which mainly come from their website (because that's where companies praise their product) and then I have given a critical feedback or rather some major doubts on whether Mira really delivers what it promises. Pros:
Cons:
In conclusion, the Mira Prism needs to ponder upon some basic things that I've mentioned above and needs to utilize those 1.5 million USD to the fullest only then would they become one of the few companies that are working towards giving a premium augmented reality experience to the common masses.
